Marko Pekkola appointed Vice President of Production for Oil Products business area in Neste
Marko Pekkola (47), M.Sc.(Eng.), has been appointed Vice President of Production in the Neste's Oil Products business area. He will report to Matti Lehmus, Executive Vice President of Oil Products. Jukka Kanerva, current Vice President of Production, will lead the major turnaround project planned for Porvoo production facilities in 2020. These changes in positions will enter into force on a date to be specified later (in February 2018 at the latest).
Marko Pekkola will transfer to the position from Stora Enso where he worked as Senior Vice President, Head of Operations in the Consumer Board Division. Pekkola has extensive experience in the management of production operations in the process industry. He will be in charge of Neste's refining entity in Porvoo and Naantali.
"This autumn, we will complete the planned production structure change of our refineries in Finland, integrating the operations of Porvoo and Naantali refineries closer together. Marko Pekkola will lead the development of refining entity competitiveness, while Jukka Kanerva will lead the next major turnaround of the Porvoo refinery.
